Technical Education Reviews with “Horizon” the Achievements of the Livelihoods Project in Three Governorates and the Phase Two Plan in Taiz
Deputy Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Dr. Adil Al-Tuhaysh, discussed today in Aden with Yahia Kodish, Executive Director of Horizon Foundation for Development, and Dr. Jameel Saleh, the Foundation’s Programme Director, the achievements of the first phase of the “Market-Relevant Livelihoods Training Project.”
The meeting, attended by Mr. Mowal Al-Shaabi, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Labour Market Relations, reviewed the implementation report of the project’s first phase in the governorates of Aden, Lahj, and Taiz, which benefited 220 young men and women, with support from the Government of Japan.
The meeting also discussed the implementation plan for the project’s second phase in Taiz Governorate, which is scheduled to target 75 male and female trainees, with support from the State of Kuwait.
Dr. Al-Tuhaysh commended the efforts of Horizon Foundation for Development in implementing the project, emphasizing the importance of continuing partnerships with civil society organizations to enhance employment opportunities for young people and women and align training outcomes with labour market needs
